Buckroe Fishing event with the Vets on 10/17/23

The club picnic was held Sunday October 11th at the home of club members Anne and Phil Townsend. The hot dogs and hamburgers along with the side dishes everyone brought were just wonderful. The weather cooperated and it could not have been a nicer day. Some of those who attended took the time to do some shore fishing. Everyone who did not come missed a great afternoon of fellowship, food and fishing.



Speckled Trout & Spot Tournament

This annual tournament was held on October 17th with seven members competing. Thank you to Capt’n Max King for the weigh-in location. It was a great day but the fishing was not so good. A lot of undersize Specks and very few Spot.

The winners were:

Largest Speckled Trout Mike Ruggles



The club spent the day fishing with club member Ed Fernandez’s Cub Scout Den. It was held at the Narrows in the Lynnhaven River on October 19th. The fish were biting the weather was great so the event was a big success!

During the third week of August 2014, TAC club member, Mitchell Hecht, age 16, fished
for two days with his maternal grandfather in Costa Rica. On the first fishing day,
Mitchell caught a 250 pound Blue Marlin. On the second fishing day, he caught a 70
pound Cubera Snapper.
